CEMETERIES

WE ARE HAPPY TO HELP YOU WITH THE RULES & REGULATIONS YOUR CEMETERY REQUIRES

Black Background

It is important to keep in mind that every cemetery requires a cement foundation for your monument. This foundation, or "footer," is poured by the cemetery, typically after the monument is purchased. The foundation is to help ensure that your monument will not sink or tilt over time.

The foundation cost varies from one cemetery to another. Some charge a flat fee while others charge by size. Either way, we are happy to help you figure out that cost and send your check and foundation order to your cemetery representative. Though we will typically have most monuments engraved and ready for setting within 2-3 weeks, the foundation must be prepared before we deliver and set your monument. Most cemeteries will only pour foundations two times per year, while others will pour by order.

Additionally, we offer foundation pouring, if the cemetery does not offer this service.

Some cemetery's allow 6" thick stones and some require 8" thick. Some allow large upright stones and some only allow flat bronze markers mounted to granite. No matter your cemetery rules we can help build the perfect monument to help honor your loved one.

At Richards Monument we work with over 250
cemeteries to help serve you monument needs.
